Ronald Bartel is Partner in the Smart Industries Team at Gimv and Chairman of Europlasma’s Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Gimv in 2015 Ronald has worked at different companies in the power transmission and materials handling industries. At last he served as Managing Director of Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products in Augsburg and heading Columbus McKinnon’s global business unit for motion technology. Before that he held executive sales positions at Flender and Demag Cranes, here amongst others for five years in Shanghai.
Ronald has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Hannover and an Executive MBA from Rutgers, New Jersey.
Edmond Bastijns – Gimv Director
Edmond Bastijns joined Gimv in September 2000 as legal counsel. He became Chief Legal Officer in 2007 and was promoted to Secretary General and Member of the Executive Committee in July 2016. He started his career in 1996 at Linklaters in Brussels. Edmond Bastijns has a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), complemented with several executive courses including the Advanced Management Program at the Chicago Booth School of Business.
Filip Legein - CEO
Mr. Filip Legein has been shareholder and board member of Europlasma since 2000, and CEO of Europlasma since 2011. Under his leadership, the company transformed from a machine builder into a real technology player, combining in-depth knowledge of plasma physics and chemistry with material sciences and smart machine development.
Mr. Legein holds a MSc in Materials Engineering and a MBA from the KU Leuven.
Mr. Legein has been board member in several SME’s in several sectors.
Bernd Kullmann – Independent Director
Mr. Bernd Kullmann recently retired as CEO of the well-known outdoor backpack company Deuter.
Mr. Kullmann has been the driving force behind the successful development of the company during the last decade.
For years, Mr. Kullmann has been the vice-president of the European Outdoor Association. Through his experience, Mr. Kullmann has a deep expertise in the requirements and evolutions of outdoor products used by consumers with an active lifestyle.
Robert De Regge – Independent Director
Robert De Regge is an independent consultant and director for SME’s in different industrial sectors. He operates as an operating partner for private equity providers in Europe, Asia and North America.
Robert held positions in sales and marketing in Unilever and Bekaert. As a CEO, he managed successful turnarounds of several international groups of SME companies. He has an in-depth knowledge of managing industrial operations in Europe, China, India and North America.
